Double Your Donation
Make Your Gift to WSA Go Twice as Far
Your generosity already makes a difference. But what if it could do twice as much, at no extra cost to you? With employer matching gifts, your donation to WSA can be doubled or even tripled!
Your gift is tax-deductible. Your employer's match is theirs.
The Waldorf School of Atlanta is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, federal tax ID 58-1741907. Your own gift is deductible to the extent allowed by law, and you will receive a receipt by email. The matching contribution comes from your employer, so it is their charitable deduction rather than yours. Your tax advisor can confirm how this applies to you.

What are matching gifts?
A matching gift is a corporate program in which a company gives to the same nonprofits its employees give to. You make your gift, you submit a short request through your employer, and the company sends its own contribution to WSA. Many companies match dollar for dollar. Some match a portion, some match more, and many extend the benefit to spouses, retirees, and board members. Programs are common at large employers but far from limited to them, and hospitals, universities, banks, and utilities are among the most likely to have one.
How it works
Step 1
Donate to WSA
Give online, by mail, or by phone, and keep your receipt. You will need it when you submit the match request.
Step 2
Check if your employer matches
Ask your HR or benefits office, or search your company's intranet for "matching gifts" or "workplace giving."
Step 3
Submit your match request
Complete your employer's form with our details below. Once approved, your employer sends the matching contribution directly to WSA.

A matching gift program is a workplace benefit where your employer donates an equal or greater amount to a nonprofit organization when you make a charitable contribution. Depending on your company's program, your gift could be doubled or even tripled, which means more funding for WSA’s students and teachers, at no additional cost to you.

Not at all. Many employers, from large corporations to small businesses, offer matching gift programs. If you're not sure whether your employer participates, the best first step is to check with your HR or benefits department.

Many employers will match recurring donations, though specific guidelines vary by company. Check your employer's matching gift program details or contact your HR department for clarification.
-
Sometimes. A number of companies extend matching to retirees, spouses, and board members. Worth asking even if you are no longer employed there.
FAQs
One gift becomes two.
Most people never find out whether their employer matches, which means a great deal of money that companies have set aside for exactly this purpose goes unclaimed every year. Checking takes one email to your HR office. If the answer is yes, a gift you have already made quietly doubles, and a teacher, a scholarship, or a music program at this school is better funded for it.
