Change a child’s life with the GOAL Scholarship Program.
What Your Support Funds
Gifts to WSA fund faculty support, tuition assistance, and enhancing school programs. In practice that means a teacher who stays with your child for years and is paid like it matters, a family who can say yes to this education when the sticker price alone would have ruled it out, and the music, movement, handwork, and world languages that make a Waldorf day whole rather than efficient. Tuition is kept reachable on purpose. Giving is how that stays true.
-
Annual Fund
The school's operating support, raised fresh every year. It is the most flexible gift you can make and the one we build the budget around. Our goal this year is $115,000.
-
GOAL Scholarships
Redirect a portion of the income tax you already owe to fund tuition assistance at WSA, and receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit. Applying takes two minutes, and no payment is due when you apply. The window closes December 31.
-
Auction & Gala
One evening each spring, our community gathers for dinner, dancing, and an auction of extraordinary things, and the whole night funds the school. Buy a ticket and bid, sponsor the evening, or donate something to the auction table. It is the rare way of giving where you also get a night out.
-
Matching Gifts
Many employers match charitable gifts, and some match monthly ones too. Ask your HR department whether yours is one of them, and let us know if it is so we can thank you for both.
-
Stock, Retirement, IRAs
A gift of appreciated securities can carry meaningful tax advantages compared with selling first and giving the proceeds. Contact us before you initiate a transfer so we can watch for your gift and thank you promptly.
-
Wills & Bequests
Some families choose to make WSA part of their legacy through a bequest, a trust, or an endowment gift: the gift of this education for children they may never meet. We would be honored to talk it through with you and your advisor.
-
Sponsorship
Sponsor the Holiday Fair in November or the Annual Auction and Gala in April, in cash or in-kind. Four simple levels at each event, with recognition that stays visible on our website.
-
In-Kind Donations
Auction items and experiences valued at $50 or more, gift cards, flowers for the Fair, or professional services like printing, catering, or photography.
-
Evergreen Partners
Georgia businesses that participate in GOAL on behalf of WSA are recognized as Evergreen Partners, with priority placement in our Business Directory.

Yes. The Waldorf School of Atlanta is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 58-1741907. You will receive a written receipt for every gift. For anything involving event tickets, securities, or a bequest, please talk with your own tax advisor.
-
Yes, and many families do. You can set up a monthly gift of any size, or choose a date later in the year for a single gift. Monthly support is steady enough that we can build the budget around it, and you can pause or change it at any time.
-
Tuition covers the essentials: our teachers, our classrooms, the daily life of the school. We keep tuition reachable on purpose so that children from many kinds of families grow up here together. Giving is how we go further than the essentials, and it is what funds faculty support, tuition assistance, and enhancing school programs.
-
Many will, and it is one of the easiest ways to increase your support without giving more yourself. Ask your HR office whether your company matches gifts to nonprofits, then email development@waldorfatlanta.org to notify us.
-
The Annual Fund is unrestricted, which is what makes it the most useful gift you can make: it goes where the year actually needs it. If you have something particular in mind, reach out and we will talk it through with you.
-
GOAL redirects income tax you already owe to the state, so it funds tuition assistance at WSA at little or no net cost to you. It is a redirection, not an additional expense, and it does not replace your Annual Fund support. Many families do both.
-
Always. We list donor names, never amounts, in our annual report and on our donor wall, and we honor a request to be left off entirely. Just tell us when you give.
-
Families and friends whose gifts of $1,000 or more anchor the school year after year. Sun Circle members are recognized by name and invited to a gratitude event.
