How to apply
Our admissions process is designed to be informative, personalized, and thorough. We want to ensure that families understand the unique aspects of Waldorf education and that there is a good match between the student, family, and school.
Applications for the 2027-2028 school year will open in October.

Submitting an inquiry form is the first step in learning more about The Waldorf School of Atlanta. Once you complete the form, you will receive additional information about our programs and admissions process.
If you would like to register for a tour or admissions event, please complete the inquiry form and select "Submit & Continue." On the following page, you will be able to view and register for any available events. If you already have a Ravenna account, you will be prompted to sign in.
Please use your primary email address that will be accessible throughout the admissions season.
Visit WSA
Attend an in-person tour, open house, or classroom observation to experience WSA education firsthand. This is a crucial step to understand our unique educational approach and school culture.

Submit Application
You will begin your WSA application process by signing into your Ravenna account. Select The Waldorf School of Atlanta from the school directory and click "Apply." Complete the application for admission and submit the application fee. If you currently have a Ravenna account, please ensure all of your contact information is up to date.
If applicable, request a Teacher Recommendation, School Records, standardized test results, and any other evaluations through the Ravenna platform.

Decisions & Notifications
Admissions Decisions will start going out in mid-March. Receive an admissions decision and complete the enrollment process if accepted. This includes signing an enrollment contract, paying a deposit, and completing additional forms to prepare for your child's first day.

Classroom Visit
Completed applications, including all required documents, will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee before eligible applicants are invited for a classroom visit.
For Early Childhood (Preschool through Kindergarten) students: Meet our teachers at a parent meeting on March 2, 2027 at 7pm. Students do a classroom visit on the morning of March 5, 2027. More information will be provided about Early Childhood admissions activities.
For Grades 1-8 students: Enrollment Director will work with you to schedule a 3-day visit so your child can experience a Waldorf classroom and the teachers can work with him/her in a classroom setting. After a successful visit, you will be contacted for a meeting with the class teacher.

Is WSA the right fit?
WSA offers a hands-on, experiential curriculum that reaches children with many different ways of learning: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. We ask that students entering grade four and above be at or above grade level in academic subjects. Our Learning Specialists provide differentiated instruction and supplemental support, and when a child's needs go beyond what we offer, we partner openly with outside professionals and will say so honestly during admissions. The right school is the one where your child can thrive, and we will help you figure out whether that school is ours.
Applying to Morning Garden
Our Morning Garden program, for children from birth to age 36 months with an adult caregiver, has its own simple application. Returning families are contacted by the school and do not need to apply again.
