Evergreen Partners are Georgia businesses that use the Georgia GOAL tax-credit opportunity to help sustain access to a Waldorf education. Your participation funds scholarships for eligible students and receives a dollar-for-dollar Georgia income tax credit for the approved contribution. It also puts your business in front of a community that pays attention to who shows up for its children.
This is a tax credit, not a donation.
Georgia GOAL lets your business redirect a portion of the Georgia income tax it already owes to fund tuition assistance at WSA, and receive a dollar-for-dollar state income tax credit for the approved contribution. There is still a contribution and a payment, so this is not a no-cost transaction, but the approved amount generates a 100% state credit. Because the credit is claimed on your Georgia return, the contribution is generally not also deductible as a charitable gift. Your tax advisor can confirm how it applies to your business structure.
What Is an Evergreen Partner?
An Evergreen Partner is a Georgia business that participates in the GOAL tax-credit program on behalf of WSA. Applying takes about two minutes, and no payment is due when you apply.
Recognition is opt-in. Every participating business is welcome to receive:

Recognition is our thanks, not a purchase. Your GOAL contribution is a tax redirection, and none of it buys advertising.

Not usually as a charitable gift, because you are receiving a dollar-for-dollar Georgia income tax credit for the approved amount instead. GOAL is a redirection of state taxes rather than a donation to the school. Your tax advisor can tell you exactly how it works for your business structure.

That depends on your entity type and your Georgia tax liability, and the state sets annual limits. GOAL walks you through the eligible amount when you apply. Because eligibility varies so much by business structure, we do not sort partners by contribution amount.

Apply through Georgia GOAL as a pass-through entity, which takes about two minutes with no payment due at the time of application. Fill out the form to be added to the WSA Business Directory. We will contact you once you’ve been added so you can approve the listing.

You may want to check with your tax advisor to understand how much you can contribute through Georgia GOAL. Some business owners find they can donate more as an individual or married filing.

No. Any Georgia business with state income tax liability can participate, whether or not anyone in it has ever set foot on campus.

Annual Fund
The school's operating support, raised fresh every year. It is the most flexible gift you can make and the one we build the budget around. Our goal this year is $115,000.
