Lisa Roggow first came to WSA as a parent, when she enrolled her daughter in the preschool and kindergarten program, and she has been part of the handwork life of the school ever since. Her own handwork began in childhood, turning her mother's sewing and crochet scraps into doll clothes. She led a parent handwork group, spent seven years as the handwork assistant, and became lead teacher in 2009. She holds a degree in anthropology and literature from New College in Sarasota, Florida.
