Why waldorf

Sustainability

At The Waldorf School of Atlanta, you can find many ways in which we work to reduce our environmental impact and make our school more sustainable. Environmental stewardship is woven into the weekly rhythms of our curriculum, to develop and instill earth-friendly practices in our students that follow them through their lives. Among other practices, our students reduce, reuse and recycle. They compost, maintain our vegetable garden and fruit trees, and care for our chickens. Through weekly gardening classes, students learn to love and respect nature and understand their responsibility in taking care of the earth.

WSA Spring Plant Fundraiser 2021 - Closed until next year

The Gardening team developed a plant fundraiser as part of grade 6’s Business Math block. All the proceeds will be used to further enrich WSA’s gardening program and to continue to grow our school garden into an urban sanctuary for all.
