Moving from the Philippines to the US at 14, Carmen Hambrick naturally developed an appreciation of cultures from an early age. Years of volunteering with youth from various backgrounds only broadened her perspective.
Carmen’s family began actively volunteering in the WSA community shortly after her son started Morning Garden. Her acute interest and belief in the merits of Waldorf education led to her current role as Teacher Assistant in Ms. Annie’s Kindergarten as well as former Assistant positions in Afternoon Kindergarten and Second Grade. Carmen enjoys nurturing students at these pivotal ages and supporting the school throughout the continuum of grades.
She completed the first Atlanta Foundation Studies program in spring of 2013. Through self-study, Carmen continues to enhance her understanding of Waldorf education and to work toward her goal of Waldorf teacher certification.
