Play It Forward Benefit Concert

November 9th, 2018 at 7:00pm

The Waldorf School of Atlanta will be hosting a spectacular musical evening to be held at Avondale Baptist Church
featuring our string faculty playing as a quintet, duos and solos, Brittney Jaynes singing, and our guest artist
Kenn Wagner, violinist in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (and current WSA parent!).
You may have heard from your child that Kenn has already played once for students with his symphony outreach ensemble - much enjoyed by grades 1-8!
This concert will be raising money to help send our 7th and 8th grade classes on a once in a lifetime trip this March to Dortmund, Germany to visit the Rudolf Steiner Schule (Waldorf School) as part of the Waldorf 100 celebrations taking place around the world.  Students in both schools have been exchanging letters for the past two years. This trip will use music performance as a tool to build on the students’ existing friendships and to deepen connections with in-person activities. It will also provide an opportunity for educational and cultural outings for our students.
Our joint students will play two orchestral concerts together;  one at the Dortmund Schule and another at a
Waldorf 100 conference happening in Dortmund.
Tickets are available for purchase below through PayPal. For entry to the Concert, there will be a list of names for those who have purchased tickets.
