In grades six, seven, and eight, traditional sports are offered in the physical education curriculum during the school day. Only now can the children have a real respect for the law of rules and understand how a team works together. At the same time, they are developing their own self-discipline and competitive nature. They aspire to a finer exactness, technique, timing and spirit of the law, as they also become more aware of the world.
An in depth discussion of games and movement in kindergarten and lower grades is found here .
Middle School After-School Sports Program
Preregistration is required for all sports programs. Students may participate in an activity after parents have signed them up and paid the registration fee and uniform deposit. Children not picked up from their sport by the end of a practice session will be brought to the Extended Day Program. Parents will be responsible for the drop-in fee.
All students in grades six, seven and eight, who have an interest are encouraged to play one or more sports during the school year. There is no prior experience required.
