The School Counselor works with parents and faculty to provide a healthy social and emotional environment for students. This environment is developed through various ways, including, individual and small group meetings, classroom instruction and support, and collaboration with parents, faculty and staff to develop specific plans to support positive interactions with teachers and peers. The School Counselor is also able to provide resources and information for parents to schedule outside therapies to support students whose needs are beyond the School Counselor's scope.
