Grade Five Handwork

Students in Grade Five have been completing a small gnome project in preparation for their big sock project this year. In creating their socks, students will work on knitting, purling, ribbing, stockinette, following a written pattern, working on four needles in the round, picking up stitches, shaping, and creating curves. As Ms. Roggow says, “If you can knit a sock, you can knit just about anything!” If these gnomes are any indication, the socks are sure to be fabulous!
